Capability Overview
CSL has been at the forefront of Dynamic Lane delivery in New Zealand, helping transform innovative concepts into real-world transport solutions. Working alongside Auckland Transport, CSL played a key role in the development and delivery of New Zealand's first Dynamic Lane system on Whangaparaoa Road, providing the design, control systems integration, and technical expertise to bring the concept to life.
Dynamic Lanes work by changing lane directions and traffic movements in response to real-time demand, maximising the capacity of existing road corridors during peak periods. The result is improved traffic flow, reduced congestion, and a better experience for road users without significant infrastructure expansion and cost.
A key part of CSL's capability is the integration of Dynamic Lane with advanced traffic management platforms such as Dynac, an internationally proven control system used for tunnels, bridges, and toll roads around the world. CSL has developed specialist expertise at integrating with this technology, enabling seamless integration between lane control infrastructure, traffic signals, and network management systems.
Following the success of the Whangaparaoa Road deployment, CSL has delivered further Dynamic Lane projects including Redoubt Road and Maioro Street and continues to support the rollout of additional systems across Auckland.
From concept development and systems integration through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support, CSL provides end-to-end expertise in Dynamic Lane solutions that help transport authorities get more from their existing networks.
